Artist Blog

Every week an artist whose single image was published by Der Greif is given a platform in which to blog about contemporary photography.

I need a human being to speak with.
Any of my projects is a dialogue. First, I absorb information and pass it through my experience, through my points of sensitivity. And then I find an interlocutor with whom my thoughts resonate.
Dialogue can be a word or a touch; correspondence, or a kiss. It can be an interaction with the image of the collocutor, which in some way changes me, or interaction with their body. It could be concordance or conflict. It is this change of mine under the influence of the Other that gives rise to visual images in my head. Dialogue always gives new optics.
I want to thank my beloved tutor Feodora Domozhilova-Kaplan and the Docdocdoc School of Modern Photography for their care and the opportunity after graduation to continue being in touch. For a long time, she was the only spectator of my visual practice, and she was always encouraging and careful. Without her support, it would have been much more difficult for me to believe in what I do.
