Homes Tour

Jun 08, 2019 - Mike Osborne

Nothing is random.
Everything has meaning.

From the back steps of the long-abandoned Iranian Embassy, one can simultaneously see the homes of Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska and his next-door neighbor, Trump consigliere Kellyanne Conway.

In nearby Kalorma Heights, Barack Obama and his family reside two blocks from Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump. Both families are a stone’s throw from the Islamic Center of DC and the Embassies of Guyana, Oman, and Belize.

In the course of the past year, a prison in Alexandria, VA, has counted Paul Manafort, Maria Butina, and Chelsea Manning among its population. Michael Flynn’s townhouse is not far away.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s palatial estate overlooks Rock Creek Park. In the dense woods below, a homeless camp is demarcated by the flags of Israel, Russia, and the state of Florida. Thousands of newspapers and a collection of books about Mossad are disintegrating into the forest floor.

Steve Bannon’s DC residence is owned by a former member of the Egyptian parliament. Also known as the Breitbart Embassy, the house is located two doors from the back entrance to the US Supreme Court.

Dick Cheney lives in McLean, Virginia. In freshly fallen snow, the scene is as tranquil as a Thomas Kinkade.

The President lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Zillow states that the property is 55,000 square feet with a Zestimate of $408M but notes that it is “not currently for sale or for rent.”
