Noah Jackson – Hymns

Oct 14, 2016 - Americo Gariety

Noah Jackson's (b. 1994) Hymns is a solemn ode to creation. Noah's playful and funny creatures reside in worlds all their own, and reign over the nothingness in of the strange places have been created for them. They take on a creationist role themselves, and feel almost like Gods in their own contemplative and creative sphere. Holy holy holy.   Statement Hymns is a tribute to the sweetness and bitterness of feeling lonely. I am beginning to understand the world around me by archiving friends and dreamscapes that exist in these imaginary places. In these venues heavenly feelings are complicated and Godlike creatures feel bored or sad.  Knowledge comes in halves and pieces and the desire to become fluent and natural fades in and out.
