Flavia Rossi


Flavia Rossi (Rome, 1989)is an artist and photographer based in Rome. She graduated at the Architecture faculty of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2016 and at the Master IUAV in Photography in 2017. In 2018 she attended the Master "Libro" at D.O.O.R. Academy in cooperation with Blank Paper.   In 2016 she was selected for the artistic residency "Manufatto in Situ 10", curated by ViaIndustriae and for "Arcipelago" organized by Ikonemi. Between 2016 and 2017 she attended an internship at ICCD in Rome. In 2017 she self published her book "Così nello sfavillio di un momento", that is distributed by some photography bookshops in Italy and it has been presented at many photography festivals in Italy, such as Funzilla, Scanner, Gazebook, Bitume. In 2017 she won the Aldo Nascimben Prize and she was among the finalists for Emerging Talents contest. During 2018 she is among the “30 Under 30 Women Photographers” selected by Artpil + Photo Boite and the finalists of Athens Photo Festival.   Some of her photographs are in the Archive of Fondo Malerba per la Fotografia in Milan. Her project "Così nello sfavillio di un momento" was shown in the solo show "Una geografia personale" curated by Niccolò Fano at LO.FT, she did a lecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and she has been selected for the artistic residency "The Hidden City Palermo" with Stefano Graziani curated by Cloe Piccoli for Manifesta12 and for the Summers School Sisf.
