Garrett Grove


Garrett Grove (b. 1982, USA) is an artist and photographer who's work focuses on the emotional tension that stands between modern demand and natural order. He gained an MFA in Photography from the University of Hartford (2017) after following a BA from Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA (2005). His work has been shown nationally and internationally, most recently at Organ Vida in Zagreb, HR, and the Wrong Gallery in Marfa, TX. He is the recipient of the 2018/19 Parallel Platform Initiative, a 2018 Critical Mass finalist and was also selected as a finalist in the 2018 LensCulture Art Awards. Alongside his personal practice, Garrett has worked fulltime as an editorial and commercial photographer. Traveling extensively through Asia, Europe and North America, often spending most nights in a tent and sleeping bag. His commissioned work has consistent topical overlap with his personal work, regularly focusing on political, cultural and environmental issues. Recent Clients inlcude Garrett was raised in the Pacific Northwest and is currently living in Southern California.
