Igor Chekachkov

I started as a photojournalist in 2008, working for Ukrainian and international magazines, such as UNIAN, Forbes, National Geographic, The Guardian and others. This experience led me to the field of art photography which I still explore these days. The boundaries between public and intimate spaces, as well as modern digital algorithms and their influence on the image are my main focus in photography today. I received B.A. in Computer Science in Kharkiv State University of Radio Electronics and M.A. in Art History in Kharkiv State Academy of Arts and Design. I am teaching in Kharkiv School of Architecture, and in 2017 I founded my own private photo school to build a strong photographic education in art and documentary photography in Ukraine.
