Laura A Noel


Laura Noel’s work often explores cultural issues, as well as aspects of her personal history. Her work is in the collection of The High Museum of Art, The George Eastman Museum, The Ogden Museum in New Orleans, MOCA GA and many others. She received a BA in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and a MFA in Photography with Distinction from the University of Georgia. Her prints have been shown in China's Pingyao International Photography Festival, the Internationale Fototage Festival in Mannheim, Gallery 24 in Berlin, United Photo Industries in New York, RISDI Museum, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Jackson Fine Art and Gallery 1401 in Philadelphia. Her photographs have appeared online and in print in Photography Now, Hot Shoe, Photography Quarterly, PHOTONEWS, Slate Magazine’s Behold Photo Blog, CNN Photo Blog, Lens Culture, Planet, Art News Daily, The Humble Arts Foundation, F-Stop Magazine, One One Thousand, Conscientious, aCurator, Fraction Magazine and many others. Fall Line Press will publish her portraits in a book called, Smoke Break, in late 2020. Her artist books are in the collections of ICP's library in New York, Yale University, Houston Museum of Fine Art, The Cleveland Art Institute, The Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas and many private collections.
