Lisa Hoffmann


Lisa Hoffmann is a visual artist working in Kiel. She studied Fine Arts at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts Kiel and at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague and does currently her PhD in Artistic Practice at the Bauhaus University Weimar . Her research-based practice focuses on artistic documentation practices to visualize the complexity and phenomenology of socio-political issues while sensitizing the aesthetic sensual perception towards images of such events and the perception itself. In doing so she is working on new visual narratives which offers new approaches to socio-political incidents. In this way, the works demand a new way of seeing and the seeing of something new. Her works have been awarded with prizes and grants like Gute Aussichten - new German photography and exhibited at institutions like House of Photography, Deichtorhallen Hamburg or NRW Forum Düsseldorf. Her films has been screened at international film festivals.
