Thelma Vidales

Thelma Vidales, 42, started shooting competitions and off-road expeditions. With a documentary focus on communities and portraits of the residents, he held two exhibition cycles: Chapada Diamantina (BA) and Central West region. He then migrated to a naval industrial photo to work for Transpetro. Among the main covers are the trip to the Comandante Ferraz Station in Antarctica; The first trip of the commander Hildelene Bahia, 1st woman commander of the Merchant Navy; Trip to Chile aboard the oil tanker João Cândido and projects with the riverside community of Amazonas. In 2016 he was a member of the official team of photographers of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio. Recently, he had pre-selected works in Paraty in Focus 2016 (individual photo and essay) and pre-selected portfolio in Magnum Caravan Brazil 2017. Currently works on the construction of the manifesto #eunosoucomum against the propagation and consumption of a false aesthetic and is a founding partner of Yvy Women of Image.
